Miss Bette Bannon, age 67 of Sharpsburg, went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2014. Bette was born in Atlanta on December 5, 1946. She was a devoted daughter, sister-in-law and aunt to those in her family.

Bette graduated from Therrell High School in 1964 in Southwest Atlanta. During her high school years she lettered in basketball and softball. She loved sports, always urging her Tennessee Volunteers on to victory. After college she started working in the Air Freight Industry, working at Emery Air Freight, Conway and UPS.

Bette was preceded in death by her father, Henry Bannon.

She is survived by her mother Marguerite; brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Barbara Bannon; nephews Terry (Shannon) Bannon, Eric Bannon; great nephew Scott Bannon and great niece Laura Bannon all from Tennessee. Bette will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and of course by her constant companion "Snookie" the cat.

Funeral services will be held at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home at 1pm on Saturday, April 26, 2014 with Dr. A. Hugh MacDonald officiating. Visitation will be from 11am until time of service.
