Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Reynolds Stowe, 77, went to be with her Lord at her home near Dry Fork, VA after a brief illness.
She was born in Pittsylvania County, VA and had spent practically her entire life in the Dry Fork Community where she had made many friends.
She was a member of Hopewell Methodist Church.
Her husband James Homer Stowe preceded her to the grave 18 years ago.
She is survived by children Berkley Stowe, Hugh Stowe, Oscar Stowe, Miss Jinnie Stowe, Miss Marie Stowe and Mrs. C S Yeatts, all of Dry Fork, Clifton Stowe of Danville, VA, Mrs. Bernie Adcock and Will Stowe of Galdstone, VA and Mrs. Clyde Simmons of Midlothian, VA.
She is also survived by brothers and sisters Walter Reynolds and Tonnie Reynolds of Hurt, VA, Tom Reynolds of Riceville, VA, Jim Reynolds of Red House, VA, George Reynolds of Crown, WV, Mrs. Louise East and Mrs. Snowie Emerson of Greensboro, NC, Mrs. Rosenna Hurs and Mrs. Sue Harris of Winston-Salem, NC, Mrs. Addie Evans of Alexandria, VA and 65 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at her home.
Interment was in the James Stowe Family Cemetery.
