Aberdeen - Caroline L. Owen, 75, of Aberdeen, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at ManorCare Health Services in Aberdeen. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Marcia Sylvester officiating. Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements. Funeral home visitation will be for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Caroline L. Fischer was born Nov. 7, 1929, at Wakpala, S.D., to Herbert and Eva (Berreth) Fischer. She attended school in Roscoe and Bowdle. After her schooling, she took care of elderly people in her home and babysat for many families. She later worked at several dry cleaning firms in Aberdeen and Omaha, Neb. She also did housekeeping for private homes for a short period of time. She was married to Edmund Lehr on April 2, 1944 at Roscoe, S.D. He died on April 17, 1989. She then was married to Ed Owen on Feb. 19, 1992, at Omaha, Neb. He died Jan. 10, 2001. Caroline continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death. She is survived by two sons; Wayne (Donna) Lehr of Minneapolis, Minn., Delwain (Joan) Lehr of Aberdeen, S.D.; one brother, Orryn Fischer of Rapid City, S.D.; three sisters: Ione Hampton of Ocean Side Calif., Doris Madden of Aberdeen, S.D. and Ila Fischer of Nev.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one brother and one sister.
