SUMNER MAN KILLED BY TRAIN
Sumner, Dec. 18óWilliam L. Darr, 71 a pioneer resident of this locality, was instantly killed this morning when struck by a Northern Pacific train as he was crossing the tracks while on his way to work at the Standard Brands factory, where he had been employed for many years.
Mr. Darr had lived in Puyallup since 1884. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Doris Brourlette of Puyallup and Mrs. Lois Shearer of Buckley; two brothers, Ernest of Sumner and Thomas Darr of Tacoma, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Howard of Seattle and Mrs. Daisy Marble of Twist. The Sumner funeral home will announce funeral arrangements.
