U.S. Congressman. He attended the New York City College, graduated from the scientific school of Fordham University in 1908, from the law department of that institution in 1911, was admitted to the bar in 1912 and commenced to practice law in New York City. During World War I, he served as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, was wounded in France and received the French Croix de Guerre with Palm. After the war, he was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-seventh Congress, serving 1921-23. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he served as delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1924, was special deputy attorney general of New York, in 1925 and served as counsel to the Alien Property Custodian (1925-30). After leaving politics, he retired to Florida and practiced law until his death.
