John G. Cardillo died in his Revere home on February 12 following a long illness. He would have celebrated his 95th birthday on March 5.

Born and raised in Revere, he worked as a quality control manager for over 45 years for the former Smithcraft Co. of Chelsea and was a long time devotee of the Immaculate Conception Parish Community.

He was the son of the late Giocchino and Louisa (Sateriale) Cardillo; the beloved husband of 60 years of Mary R. (Alba); devoted father of Paula Cardillo and LuAnn Cardillo, both of Revere; cherished grandfather. He is also lovingly survived by his great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. He was the dear brother of the late Louise Fino, Joseph, Henry, George M., Emilio, John and Carmine Cardillo.

Family and friends are invited to visit with the family today, Wednesday, February 15, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway, (Route 107) Revere, followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere at 12 noon. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
