Mrs. Clarissa Jane Miller, pioneer resident of Linn county, died at her home, in Sylvia, Iowa, at 4:45 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Miller was born March 4, 1853 and had resided in the same vicinity during her whole life. Her husband, Samuel Miller, died nine years ago. Surviving her are two sons, Earl Miller, Sylvia and James Miller, California.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Methodist church. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. The Rev. C.W. Cleveland will officiate. Burial will be made in Shiloh cemetery.
