Agnes Gertrude Morgan, age 71, of Hanceville, AL, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at her residence. She was born on January 10, 1937 in Tarrant City to Manuel and Sewilla (Quick) Banks. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carthel Leon Morgan; a granddaughter, Kelly Hackney; and a great grandson, Justin Hackney. She is survived by 3 sons: Charles (Diane) Morgan of Phelan; Carthel (Darlene) Morgan of Hanceville; and Jackie (Anita) Morgan of Falkville; 3 daughters: Betty (Richard) Hackney of Hanceville; Diane Morgan of Cullman; and Norma (Bill) Horton of Holly Pond; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces & nephews. The pallbearers will be: Alex Morgan, David Hackney, Steve Hackney, Joe Hackney, Eric Horton, Blake Horton, Chris Carnell, and Keith Davis. Arrangements are being handled by Hanceville Funeral Home, 100 Michelle St. NW, Hanceville, AL where the family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, November 28, 2008. Funeral service will be at Hanceville Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 29, 2008 with Larry Craig and Vernon Alvis officiating. Interment will be in Fairview West Cemetery.
