Pietzsch was born Jan. 14, 1873 in Flint River township, the son of Herman and Elizabeth (Dewein) Pietzsch, and was married Feb. 12, 1928, to Dorothy (Wolf) McDowell, in Burlington. He was a member of the Church of the Open Bible.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Milton of Denver, CO., and Warren and Lawrence of Des Moines County; two daughters, Mrs. Martin McCord and Mrs. Richard Andrew, both of Burlington; 10 grandchildren, six great grandchildren; a brother, John of Des Moines County; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Nelius, Burlington, and Katie, Martha and Lucy Pietzsch, at home; and several nieces and nephews. Three sisters and two brothers are dead.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Church of the Open Bible. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The body is at Prugh's Chapel.
