Information provided by contributor Stephanie Myers Landis (#48146070) for updates to memorial of birthplace and maiden name:
In the Lancaster County Deed Book AA page 195 is a document dated 27 Aug 1781. In this document signed by (John) Jacob Kissel and his wife (Anna) Maria both of East Pennsborough Township, Cumberland County. She acknowledges receipt of monies from her brother (John) Mathias Kammerer due to her from the estate of her father Andrew Kammerer, deceased, of Warwick Township, Lancaster County.

A few pages later is a detail of a land warrant granted to Andrew Kammerer for 127 acres of land in Warwick Township on 4 Mar 1753. This would indicate that Maria was born (your memorial indicates ca. 1778) in Warwick Township as residency was a requirement of these warrants. Further, Andrew Kammerer was still in possession of this land when he died.

The Kammerers were members of the Manheim Reformed Church of Lancaster County and the children were given two names when baptized. This first, which I have put in parenthesis, is the spiritual name and the second was the name they were called by.baby.
