She was preceded in death by husbands, Pastor Jesse Alexander, Sr. and Clarence Sanders; parents, Acklin and Fannie L. Johnson; siblings, Geneva Howse, John D. and Warren G. Johnson; daughter, Fannie Tucker; son, Jesse Jr.; grandchildren, Stanley Gilreath and Ralph Young.
She is survived by son, Harry Warren (Freda) Alexander, Sr.; one brother-in-law, John B. (Wilorene) Alexander; sister-in-law, Georgia Alexander; grandchildren, Harry Jr., Latinya (David) Johnson of TN, Michael (Addie) Young, Petria (Carey) Ross, Andre (Stacey) Alexander, Jacquetta Alexander, Regina Simms, Helenca Alexander, Marsha Alexander, Gladys Fermon, Amy Alexander of CA, Eric Fermon of WA; twenty-four great-grandchildren, sixteen great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and loving friends.
She will lie-in-state Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Rucker Memorial Chapel. Family visitation will be Sunday, April 13, 2014, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with funeral to follow at 3 p.m., at Key United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
