STREATOR -- John H. Keith, 57, of Streator, died early Friday morning Oct. 13, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator, with Rev. Gordon Carls officiating. Burial with full military rites will be at Riverview Cemetery, Streator.Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Hagi Funeral Home.
Mr. Keith was born Oct. 31, 1948, in Streator to Virgil and Rosemary (Swartz) Keith. He married Nancy Hanson Aug. 7, 1971, in Streator.
Mr. Keith was the human resources-credit manager for the Times newspaper, Ottawa. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Navy, a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Streator a former member of American Legion Post 217, Streator , a charter member and lieutenant governor of the former AMBUCS Club, Ottawa, a member of Pine Hills Golf Club, Ottawa, a coach of the Streator Youth Soccer for many years and an avid fisherman. Mr. Keith attended Streator grade schools was a graduate of Streator High School Class of 1967 a graduate of Illinois Valley Community College and had attended Illinois State University.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; one daughter, Nicki Keith, Streator; his Mother Rosemary Keith, Streator; three brothers, Robert (Linda) Keith, Streator, Virgil (Dea) Keith, Ottawa, and Christopher Keith, Streator; one sister, Sharon (Robert ) Mays, Watseka. He was preceded in death
by his father.
Pallbearers will be Rick and Marty Hanson, Larry Keith, Kurt Barry, Bo and Lee Mays.
Memorials may be made to an education fund for his daughter.
