Emmert Angel passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit in Covington.
He was a retired machine operator with Kahn Meat Packing Company and a member of Ashland Baptist Church in Latonia and Latonia Lodge No. 746 F&AM.
Survived by two sisters, Wanda and Cora.
In July 2013, the Congressional Gold Medal was awarded, collectively, to the First Special Service Force, in recognition of its superior service during World War II.
