Funeral services for Donnie Jefferson Hunt, 83, of Lexington will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jimmy Preston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Elkins East Chapel in charge of arrangements. He passed away on August 30, 2004. He served in the Army during World War II and was retired from NAFCO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Moses Monroe and Mary Betty (Flanagan) Hunt; his sister, Eunice Mae White; and his brother, John Franklin Hunt. He is survived by his wife, Hatty Irene (McCain) Hunt; his daughters, Betty Hughes of Killen and Wilda Roberson of Lexington; his sons, Carl Hunt of Greenhill and Richard Hunt of Iron City, Tennessee; his sisters, Sarah Ada Haney of Florence, and Oletha Liverett and Virginia Ovella White, both of Rogersville; his brother, Kenneth Neal Hunt of Chesapeake, Virginia; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
