Mrs. Adolph Boerner nee Christine Luckenbach of Luckenbach passed away on Friday January 21st in the Fredericksburg Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 94 years. Christine was born on November 17, 1916 in Luckenbach, Texas to Benno B. and Alma Braeutigam Luckenbach. Christine married Adolph Boerner on February 24, 1937 in Fredericksburg. Christine sold handbags at Joske's and Dillard's in San Antonio for over 30 years. Christine was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Joske's. Christine Boerner is survived by her daughter and spouse: Genevieve and John McCaffrey of Luckenbach. Two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Christine was preceded in death by her husband and parents. The body will lie in state in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home until 1:15 p.m. on Monday January 24th and from 2 to 3:00 p.m. in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church with funeral services at 3:00 p.m. in Church with Rev. James Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Hill Country Community Needs Council, Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hill Country Memorial Hospital, or to the charity of one's choice. Visitation for Christine Boerner will be held on Sunday from 4 to 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Schaetter funeral Home of Fredericksburg.
