She was born on May 7, 1927 in Buckley, the daughter of Charley Noble and Cora (Hurn-Jackson) Mott. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and six brothers.
She is survived by a brother, Cleo (Sibyl) Mott and many nieces and nephews.
She graduated from John Greer High School in 1945 and attended classes at Danville Junior College. She was selected as Mrs. Hoopeston in 1948. She was the first queen selected when the National Sweetcorn Festival started back up after World War II. She worked as an administrative assistant at FMC, Social Security Administration and American Can for over 20 years until she retired in 1987.
