FOSSUM, Donalda Mary (nee Goodall) Died peacefully on March 29, 2014 at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge, Ontario in her 92nd year. Dear mother to Trevor (Michele) of Calgary and Brenda (Gary) Horst of Stratford. Bestemor to Jacob Fossum, Christina (Tim) Harnack, David (Maggie) Horst and Annica (Andrew) Napier. Donalda is also survived by siblings Clifford (Marjorie) of Burlington, Jessie (Barry, dec.) Dahm of California, Gerald (Catherine) of Edmonton, and sister-in-law Jean Goodall. Predeceased by her husband Einar on November 1, 2011, parents John and Olive (Goodfellow) Goodall, siblings Gladys (Norman) Burch, William (Margaret), Hugh and Ethel (Lyman) Smith. Born November 23, 1922 in St. Louis-de-Gonzague, Quebec, Donalda grew up in the Ormstown area. She later studied at Moody Bible Institute and began serving in Zambia with Africa Evangelical Fellowship (now SIM) in 1952. It was there she met Einar of Norway, marrying on April 24, 1954. They continued their Zambian ministry until 1987, having Peoples Church of Montreal as their home church and primary supporters. They continued serving at Peoples Church until their 1996 move to Cambridge. Cremation and private burial will take place prior to the Memorial Service to be held on Wednesday, April 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Fairview Mennonite Home Auditorium (515 Langs Drive, Cambridge), followed by an informal reception. Donations to SIM Canada (10 Huntingdale Blvd., Scarborough, ON, M1W 2S5) or Peoples Church of Montreal (2097 Ave Union, Montreal, QC, H3A 2C3) would be welcomed as a way of honouring Donalda's life.
