A. W. FitzGerald Dies in Florida

ARNOLD W. FITZGERALD, 51, of 502 Herkimer st., a retired shop superintendent of the welding department at U. S. Hoffman Machinery Corporation, died yesterday in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Born in Portland, Me., Mr. FitzGerald was the son of the late Maj. Albert FitzGerald of the Salvation Army. He was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of Geddes Congregational Church and of Ogdensburg Lodge 128, F. and A. M.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Viola M. FitzGerald; a son, James B. FitzGerald of the U. S. Navy; four daughters, Mrs. Paul Polacek of Seattle, Wash., and the Misses Viola E., Mary K. and Alice E. FitzGerald all of Syracuse; his mother, Mrs. Sadie FitzGerald of St. Petersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Freeman Dicks of St. Petersburg and Mrs. Allen Winters of Atlanta, Ga., and four grandchildren.

Services will be conducted in the Welter Funeral Home at 10 A.M. Tuesday, the Rev. Albert Hotchkiss officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens.

Masonic rites will be held at 8 P.M. Monday by Lodge 501. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Monday.
