Services for Robert N. Mitchell, 70, of 603 Leroy Road, North Syracuse, who died Thursday at Veterans Administration Medical Center, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Welter-Price Funeral Home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 2649 James St. Masonic services will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
A native of Rome, Mr. Mitchell lived in the Syracuse area 23 years. He retired in 1967 as a master sergeant with the Air Force after 22 years of military service. Mr. Mitchell was a veteran of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Mr. Mitchell later was employed 10 years with Onondaga Tool Corp. before retiring in 1977.
Mr. Mitchell was a past master of Onondaga Lodge 802, F&AM, and a member of the Central City Consistory of the Scottish Rite. He was a former president of the Tigris Shrine Temple Field Band and a past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a past monarch of the Kedar Kahn Grotto.
Mr. Mitchell was a member of Post 1297, American Legion, the Air Force Sergeants Association and Chapter 30, Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife, Mary E.; four daughters, Karen E. Falbo of Rochester, JoAnn Sommers of Baldwinsville, Patricia D. Janack of Parish and Kathie S. Sommers of Liverpool; a brother, James E. of South Carolina; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Contributions may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital.
