When Mary Andrew was born on September 27, 1828, in Yorkshire, England, her father, Christopher Thomas Andrew, was 23 and her mother, Mary Ann Lawry, was 20. She immigrated to Rhode Island in 1852. She married Henry Grinrod and they had two daughters, Elizabeth & Rosetta, together between 1852 and 1858. She then married George Whitehead in 1870 in Trenton, New Jersey. She died on March 28, 1896, in Trenton, New Jersey, at the age of 67. Site of interment is based on that of her two husbands.
