Betty E. Huffman, age 86, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at her home in Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Clinton Christian Church, Clinton, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:30 A.M. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Clinton Senior Center Endowment Fund, Clinton Christian Church, or Twin Lakes Hospice and may be left in care of the funeral home. Betty was born July 13, 1927 in Napoleon, Missouri the daughter of William and Minnie (Burns) Huffman. She was the administrator of the Clinton Senior Center for many years. Betty was a member of the Clinton Christian Church and the Clinton Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Frank and Gilbert Thurman.
Survivors include her husband, William F. Huffman, Jr. of the home, two sons, David William Huffman of Raytown, Missouri and Michael Richard Huffman and his wife, ReNell, of Wake Forest, North Carolina, nine grandkids; Abbi Huffman, Janelle Huffman, Sam Lunn, Amanthus Lunn, Kalien Lunn, Kendra Huffman, Kiel Huffman, Michael Huffman, and Justin "Sonny" Huffman, eight great-grandkids; Noah Tyler, Stefan Lunn, Kira Parks, Orlen Lunn, Zoey Huffman, Morigan McDowell, Gabriel Huffman, and Riley McDowell, as well as one sister-in-law, Dorothy Thurman of Newbury, Missouri.
