Estes R. Whaley , age 88, of Crewe, Va., passed away Monday, October 23, 2006. He was preceded in death by his son, Harold Richard Whaley . He is survived by his wife, Trula Whaley ; a daughter, Barbara Adams and husband, Manuel of Crewe; one grandchild, Ricky Wallace and wife, Jackie of Crewe; four great-grandchildren, Tori, Mitch, Randall and Alex; three sisters, Sue Gibson, Reba Romines, Zilla Webb all of Tennessee; one brother, Leon Whaley of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 24 at Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home, Crewe. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 25 at Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ben Powers officiating. Interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.
