Deceased Name: Howard Crump

Howard A. "Dode" Crump, 86, Festus, died May 26, 2006, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1919, in St. Louis, the son of Arthur and Bertha (Day) Crump.
He was a glassworker for PPG Industries. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Co. H&M 140th Infantry and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene (Kaemphe) Crump; two daughters, Jeanne Johnson Crump of Imperial and Debbie (Bill) Woodard of Festus; five sons, Robert M. (Brenda) Crump of Festus, Donald (Dava) Crump of Ocala, Fla., Terry (Amy) Crump of Festus, Jeff (Susan) Crump of St. Louis and Paul (Connie) Crump of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Norvella Crosby and Miner Lambert; his brother, Orville Crump; two grandchildren.
Funeral was May 30 at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus, with the Rev. Peter Blake officiating. Interment is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Veteran's Administration Hospital, St. Louis.
