Flight Officer Stoffel served with the 39th
Combat Crew Trainging Squadron from Davis-
Monthan Army Airfield, Arizona.

He was one of four airmen killed in the
crash landing of RB-24E Liberator #42-7350,
due to engine failures, at Dos Cabezos,
20 miles southeast of Willcox, Arizona.

Four airmen were killed and five survived
with injuries.

Son of George D. Stoffel.
