Second Lieutenant Wegehaupt served with the
39th Combat Crew Trainging Squadron from
Davis-Monthan Army Airfield, Arizona.

He was one of four airmen killed in the
crash landing of RB-24E Liberator #42-7350,
due to engine failures, at Dos Cabezos,
20 miles southeast of Willcox, Arizona.

Four airmen were killed and five survived
with injuries.

Son of Paul G. Wegehaupt (born Germany).

Usual address: 2769 N. 21st Street, Milwaukee,
Wisconsin.

The three other Army men killed were:

2nd Lt. Gerard F Hayden (pilot)
Flt. Off. George C Stoffel
Sgt. Roger P McCord
