Elsie May Miller, daughter of David E. and Anna E. Mann passed away on Monday, May 23, 2011. She was born in Indianapolis on November 17, 1915 and was a life-long resident of this city.
She was preceeded in death by her husband of 49 years, John C. Miller; two brothers, David and Earl Mann; and a grandson, Jeffrey Lee Miller. She is survived by her son, John D. (and Mary), her daughter, Pamela A. Carpenter, both of Indianapolis, as well as one brother, Richard "Dick" (and Juanita) Mann of Bradenton, Florida. She was the loving grandmother of Jeffrey L Miller (deceased), Keith E.(and Toby) Miller, Lynn Diane (and Doug) Burleson, and Kevin S. (and Jessica) Miller; and is also survived by five great grandchildren, Lee, Jana and Julia Burleson, and Kurt and Brooke Miller.
***Elsie's biological father was Vernon Elsworth Adcock, who was divorced from Anna Harrison shortly after Elsie's birth. David Mann was Elsie's adoptive father, and the only father Elsie ever knew.
***Vernon, for unknown reasons, legally changed his last name to Rosell in the 1920's.
