Sarah Carter Calvert 86, died March 21, 2014 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Halifax County, on February 2, 1928, a daughter of Charles Eddie Carter and Lillian Edwards Carter. She was married to the late Robert Henry Calvert.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia C. Parker; a son, Robert Thomas Calvert; four sisters, Mary Ellen Goss, Mildred Wilson, Hilda Nostrandt and Jane Saunders; four brothers, Thomas W. Carter, Charles E. Carter, Andrew J. Carter and James C. Carter; five grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a brother, Aubrey L. Carter.
Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
