Mildred Inez Kennedy Huntsman, 81, of Little Rock, died Dec. 3, 2002. The daughter of Shannon and Martha Kennedy, she was born March 19, 1921, near DeWitt. She graduated from DeWitt High School in 1939. In 1942 she joined the war effort in San Diego, California, in the manufacture of war planes. She married James Huntsman of Stuttgart while in San Diego, California.
She loved gardening and children and operated a child daycare for years in West Little Rock. She was a longtime member of Brady Extension Homemakers Club, which she enjoyed very much. She was preceded in death by her husband James Huntsman; four brothers, Marvin, Holland, Irvin and Clarence Kennedy; and a sister, Ruth Young. She is survived by two sons, Ted Huntsman of Springdale and his wife Janet and Roger Huntsman of Little Rock; three grandchildren and one brother, E. S. Kennedy of Arkansas City, Arkansas. She is also survived by a nephew, Nickey Seeman.
