Mrs. Joyce Marie Smith Collins, age 45, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2009 at her home following a brief illness.
She was born in Mt. Airy, North Carolina and was the daughter of Larry and Kay Smith of Seven Mile Ford, Virginia.
She had made her home in the Cedar Bluff area for the past seven years and was a member of the Crossroads Community Church in Cedar Bluff. She was a graduate of Liberty University and Chilhowie High School.
Survivors are: Her Husband: Rodney Collins;
Two Sons: Matthew Counts of Radford, Virginia, Tyler Counts of Abingdon, Virginia;
Two Step Sons: Rodney Collins, II and wife, Carrie of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, Scott Collins and wife, Angelia of Richlands, Virginia,
One Sister Laura Teeters and husband, Stan of Richmond, Virginia;
Step Grandchildren: Sierra Collins, Hannah Collins, and Makala Collins; Nephew: Aaron Teeters and
Niece: Preston Teeters also survive.
Funeral services for Joyce Marie Collins will be conducted Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 11:00am at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Rick Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call after 6:00pm Tuesday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
