LANE, RUTH WOODS - age 82 of Dandridge passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was member of the Swanns Chapel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Lane and was the last surviving member of the John and Myrtle Woods family.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Janet) Lane, Kay (Kevin) Thiverige, Linda Christensen, Tim (Sue) Lane and Amy (Daniel) Collins; grandchildren, Richie, Robin, Jon, Lisa, Zach, Lisa, Danny, Andria, Sara, Luke and Jake; 10 great-grandchildren.

family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staffs of Jefferson Co. Nursing Home and Smokey Mountain Hospice for their care and affection.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Tennessee, Inc., 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919.

Funeral services, Thursday, 7:30 pm at Swanns Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. John Price and Rev. Randy Haun officiating. Interment graveside services, Friday 11:00 am at Swanns Chapel Cemetery.
