Mamie E. Stalter, 86, of West Sandusky Street, Fredericktown, and formerly of here and Coshocton, died Thursday afternoon at her residence. Born May 3, 1899, here, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Elizabeth (Rossman) Fawley. She had been a resident of Fredericktown since 1960. She was affiliated with Good Hope Lutheran Church, and the Ann Hill Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star in Fredericktown. She married to Clyde Stalter, who preceded her in death. Surviving are a son Richard Stalter of Monmouth, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Spencer (Betty) Hoeflich of Fredericktown; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, here, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, here. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the Snyder Funeral Home, Fredericktown, where Eastern Star services will be conducted at 8:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

She was born May 3, 1899, in Bucyrus to Earl and Elizabeth (Rossman) Fawley and had been a Fredericktown resident since 1960. Mrs. Stalter was affiliated with Good Hope Lutheran Church, Bucyrus, and a member of Ann Hill Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Fredericktown, the American Association of Retired Persons, and Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde, and a son, William. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Spencer (Betty) Hoeflich, Fredericktown; a son Richard of Monmouth, Ill.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call 7 to 9 tonight in Snyder Funeral Hope, Fredericktown, where a Eastern Star service will be at 8:45. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, Bucyrus, followed by burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Bucyrus. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
