Son of Benjamin B. and Rachael Rogers Boyd, he married Margaret Sweitzer, lived at RD 1 Franklin, Georgetown Road, Frenchcreek Twp, died there of pneumonia, cerebral arteriosclerosis, and diabetes, per death certificate 088452-61, whose informant was his wife. Buried Sep 16 1961.

Charles Nelson Boyd, 84, of Franklin RD1, Georgetown Road, died at 9:30 p.m. yesterday at his residence. Born in St. Petersburg, Clarion County, August 13, 1877, he was a son of Benjamin B. Boyd and Rachael Rogers Boyd.

He lived for many years in Alliance, Ohio, where he was employed by the Trans and Williams Drop Forge Co. He retired in 1945 and moved soon afterwards to the Georgetown Road.

On Oct 9, 1908 in Sligo he married Margaret Switzer, and she survives, with a brother, William F. of Maple Dale; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Boyd and Mrs. Nora McKean of Cleveland. Preceding him in death were five brothers, Joseph, Peter, Alvie, Clinton and Herbert; and four sisters, Mrs. Blanche Hagan, Mrs. Lottie Cottral, Mrs. Gertie Platt and Mrs. Vera Boyer.

Services will be at 2 pm Saturday at the Burger Funeral Home with Rev. Charles H. Stearns, pastor of Maple Dale Free Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Nicklin Cemetery on the Georgetown Road.
