Thomas "Tom" Carroll, of Christiana, DE., passed away Thursday evening, March 13, 2014 at the age of 72. He had been ailing for some time and is now at peace. Tom was a Wilmington High School graduate. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was then employed by the Wilmington Fire Dept. Tom then went on to work for the Boilermakers for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle. Tom was born in Wilmington, DE., to Mary and Thomas J. Carroll, Sr., on December 3, 1941. He will be dearly missed by his son, Thomas J. Carroll, III of Middletown, DE and his wife Nicole; his daughter Danielle Carroll of Newark, DE and her husband Kevin; his grandsons, Alex, Sean and Zachary; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road Pike Creek on Thursday, March 20, from 10am to 11am where a funeral service will be held at 11am.Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Drive. Suite 101. Newark, DE 19713.
