H. McDaniel, who had been in the employ of E. A. Dillon, as blacksmith, for a few weeks past, died yesterday morning shortly after one o'clock from pneumonia. Mr. McDaniels had been ill only since last Saturday, had but recently recovered from an attack of pneumonia in Sacramento. McDaniels was, we believe, a native of Illinois, aged 38 years. He leaves a brother at Litchfield, Illinois and a sister, Mrs. J. F. Ellis, at Gayer, Ill. It is also understood that he leaves a wife in California with whom he had not been living for some time past, and three children. His relatives have been telgraphed to regarding the disposition of the remains as McDaniel left no effects."

Harlie McDaniel departed this life at Yerington, Nevada, February 8, 1907 of pneumonia. His relatives where dispatched to on Thursday and his death came on Friday. Mr. McDaniel was a son of William and Mary McDaniel, who departed this life a few years ago. He was a brother of J. H. McDaniel of Litchfield, W.H. of St. Louis, G.W. of Jett, Okla., Mrs Carrie Ellis of Sexson, Mrs. Lida Curry, Camargo, Mrs. Jennie Hoyer of Stewardson, and Mrs Nannie Sailors of Taylorville.
Harlie was born and raised in Ash Grove and was 38 years, 11 months old. He lived in St. Louis the most of his life. He married Cora Blazedel. To them were born one son and two daughters. His death was unexpected to all and is almost unbearable to his grief-stricken family.
