Funeral services will be Wednesday 2 PM at Kimbrell-Stern. Rev. Will Archibald officiating. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, GA.
A native of Worth Co., GA Mrs. Adkins has lived most of her life in Albany where she was a longtime member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and very active in her Sunday school class.
Mrs. Adkins was retired from Belk Department Store and will always be remembered for her strong work ethic, and the love and devotion she gave to her family, friends and church.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1998. Mr. T.M. Adkins and 5 siblings, 3 of which lived in Albany; Whit Whitfield, Jack Whitfield and Russell Whitfield.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Adkins Cauley and her husband Joseph of Albany, son, Thomas (Tommy) Adkins and his wife Liz of Roswell, GA, two grandchildren.
