|Death: ||May 7, 2012, Scotland|
From Sunny Harbour Cat & Kitten Rescue in Scotland:
Benjamin was a reported stray. In honesty we actually believe he belonged to former residents of a property who moved away and just left him behind. This is based on what we can piece together from neighbours reports in the area. Certainly he had been wandering out in all weathers for quite some time and the once handsome, well groomed, boy was now a filthy, matted, depressed wee boy that no-one wanted ‘hanging' around.
We arranged for Benjamin to come to us as soon as he could and after the first few fearful days and lashing out in fear he has settled very well. We had him neutered and he has passed his initial health check with flying colours.
Over the first week he began to settle even more. He was more relaxed and had shown himself to be a giant softie with a gentle nature over the two weeks he was with us.
With a bright future ahead of him Benjamin took unwell on the 6th May 2012. Little were we to know that despite care and no obvious signs of illness Benjamin would leave us on the morning 7th May, very suddenly without warning. He has now gone peacefully to Rainbow Bridge free from neglect, pain, and suffering but far far far too soon. We can only take solace in the fact that he will be once again with us for good as we bury his ashes in our remembrance gardens with his favourite toys.
