Rodney Davis, age 45, of Belcurt. MD passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at his home in Belcourt, ND

Visitation began at 5:00 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary service at 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10:00 am in the church.

Burial will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.

Casket bearers were his nephews and friends. Honorary Bearers were his sisters, brothers, and all other family members and friends. Special music was performed by Pat and Linda Peltier family.

Rodney was born on November 2, 1968 in Rolla, ND, the youngest son of John and Stella (Monette) Davis. He attended grade school at St. Ann's Mission and Turtle Mountain Community High School in Belcourt. He attended the Turtle Mountain Community College and Minot State University. He received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Minot State University.

He was married to Lucille Martin in 2010.

Rodney is survived by his daughter, Shauna Davis-Hodgson (Kent) of Dickinson, ND; son, Edward John Peltier of Dunseith; daughters, Katie and Alyssa Davis of Dunseith; two grandsons, Izaya amd Kysen Hodgson of Dickinson; sisters: Peggy (Perry) Poitra of Belcourt and Bonnie (Gary) Malo of Bismarck; brothers, Tony (Patty) of St. John, Tim (Emily) and Todd, all of Belcourt, and Jeff (Betty) of Cedar Springs, Michigan; nephews, Troy (Carla) Davis, Craig (Lucee) Poitra, Chris (Shawma) Poitra, Michael (Stephanie) Poitra, Darrin, Tim (Candace), and Kyle Davis, Jacob and John Davis, Josh Davis; nieces, Sarah Malo and Whitney Davis; great neices and nephews, Victoria, Alivia, Zachary, Christian, and Sye Poitra, Tanner and Emma Davis, Chase and Niibwin Migizi Davis, Hunter, Torryn, and Kenleigh Davis; aunt, Resa (Richard) Rivard; stepchildren, Ann, Jess, and JR Brien; and many cousins and other special friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Stella Davis; his sister, Carrie; brother-in-law, Randy Morin, nephews, Tyler and Tony Davis; and great niece, Elsie Poitra.
