Day B. Tustin
CLARKSBURG -- Day B. Tustin, 92, of Clarksburg, formerly of Clarksburg Towers, died Friday, July 14, 2000, in Ocala, Fla., near her daughters.
She was born March 31, 1908, in Tyler County, a daughter of the late Hood and Sarah A. Lemasters Brohard.
Her husband, Carl G. Tustin, preceded her in death in 1958.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Glen "Buck" Tustin and wife, Elizabeth, Clarksburg, and Burlin Tustin and wife, Sandra, Clarksburg; two daughters, Carolyn Vitolo, Cape Coral, Fla., and Mrs. John D. (Marolyn) Jett, Ocala; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having also been preceded in death by two sisters, Mae Penrod and Gay Tustin; and one brother, Fay Brohard.
Mrs. Tustin was a retired school teacher with Harrison County schools. She was a member of the Stealey United Methodist Church.
She was also a member of the United Methodist Women, the Retired Teachers Association, the Harrison County Senior Citizens and the U.S. Navy Mothers Association.
Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home, 443 West Pike Street, Clarksburg, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 - 11 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Susan Rector officiating. Interment will be in the Bridgeport Cemetery.
