James Henry (known as Henry maybe because his father's first name was also James) Leach and Grace Belle Rawlings were both raised on farms in Union Township in northern Hendricks County, Indiana. They married in Hendricks County on Sept. 14, 1893. They lived in Eel River Township in Hendricks County most of their lives before moving to Texas. Census records indicate they had no children.

Grace Leach died June 21 in the Matthews Nursing Home in San Antonio, Texas, where she had made her home for the past 19 years. She was a former resident of the Montclair community.

She was born June 3, 1873, the daughter of Moses H. and Martha Jane Leach Rawlings. She received her education in the district schools of Hendricks County and was graduated from Central Normal College. On Sept. 14, 1893, she was married to Henry Leach and they made their home south of Jamestown until 1941. At that time, they moved to San Antonio, Texas where Mr. Leach died May 19. They would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this year.

Services were conducted in Texas with burial there.
