John Pagano Rites Monday
Services for John Pagano, 80, of 214 Turner Ave., Fairmount, who died Thursday at Community-General Hospital, will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home, Solvay, and at 9:30 a.m. in First Christian Assembly Church, the Rev. Alfred Palma officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
Calling hours will be7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
An area resident for more than 60 years, Mr. Pagano was the founder of the West Genesee Barber Shop and operated it for more than 60 years before retiring.
He donated many hours to the elderly at Van Duyn Hospital and other institutions. He also went to the homes of many of those unable to travel to his shop.
Mr. Pagano was a member of Barberís Union Local 18, the First Christian Assembly Church and the visitation committee of the Menís Fellowship of the church. He served as honorary deacon of the church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Grace Zito; a son, Anthony J. of Fairmount; two daughters, Mrs. Albert Burinski of Taunton and Mrs. Dominick Mariano of Fairmount, 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
