OBITUARY: The News-Star, Monroe LA, 22 Dec 2010
Memorial services for Albert E. Holliday, age 84, of Monroe, LA will be at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church of Monroe, LA with Rev. Steve Wilkins officiating. Services will be under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mr. Holliday was born February 1, 1926 in Mena, AR and passed away December 20, 2010 in Monroe, LA at his home. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael E. Holliday; first wife, Sammie Putman Holliday; and grandson, Steven Greer. He was a member of Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church. Mr. Holliday was a veteran who served in World War II in the U. S. Navy. Mr. Holliday is survived by his wife: Margaret Peggy Holliday; daughters: Bonnie Madden and husband, Don, Bennie Greer and husband, Ed, Sandra McBroom and husband, Robert; daughter-in-law Donna Holliday, and step-daughters, Terry Balton and husband, Jeff; and Donna Branson and husband, Kevin; 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church, Geneva Academy or Premier Hospice. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.
