Catherine B. Abrams
Catherine Brown Franks Abrams, 75, of 234 Cart Drive, died Dec. 23, 1996, in Skylyn Health Care.
A native of the Goucher community of Cherokee County, she was the widow of Cecil Abrams and the daughter of the late Roy Wilkins Brown Sr. and Clarice Melissa Smith Brown. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg where she was a member of the Deborah Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and attended Robinson Business College.
Survivors include one son, Cecil Brown Abrams of Spartanburg; two brothers, William Smith Brown and Cecil Rigby Brown Sr., both of Spartanburg; and one sister, Mrs. John Roderick Brawley of Kalamazoo, Mich.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. today, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, P.O. Box 461, Spartanburg, 29304, or Goucher Baptist Church Senior Citizens Bus Fund, c/o Goucher Baptist Church, 415 Goucher Creek Road, Gaffney, 29340.
The J.F. Floyd Mortuary, Greenlawn Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
