Margaret Anna Mills was born March 7, 1859, in Brown ounty, Illinois, and died at her home in Stroud Sunday, May 17, 1931. Age 72 years, 2 months, 10 days.
She was united in marriage to William Grayson in the state of Illinois and to this union one son was born. She, with her family, moved Iowa and then to Oklahoma, moving to Stroud about 27 years ago.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and also of the G. A. R., her husband having served as a captain in during the Civil war.
She was devoted to her home and family and was a faithful friend and neighbor, and was always ready to respond in every hour of need.
She leaves to mourn their loss a son, Edward Grayson, of Stroud and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church Monday afternoon and interment was made in the Stroud cemetery, B. H. Elsey, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating and the Eastern Star conducting the committal service.
