Obituary for Rosealla:

"On Monday, February 8, 1904 at 2:20 p.m. at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. H.P. Cook, 714 4th street southeast, Rosella Otterback, beloved wife of Henry B. Otterback, aged 76 years 6 months. Funeral from Trinity M.E. Church, 5th and C streets southeast, Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Relatives and friends invited."

Death of Mrs. Otterback

In the death of Mrs. Henry B. Otterback, who died late yesterday afternoon at the age of 76, Southeast Washington loses one of its oldest and most respected residents. Mrs. Otterback was a member of the Gaddis family of East Washington and had lived on Capitol Hill all her life. For more than sixty years she was a member of Trinity Methodist Episcopal Church, and in her younger days was very active in church work. She was married 57 years ago. Her husband, six sons and a daughter survive her. Of the latter Philip B., Harry A., George E. and Maurice Otterback and Mrs. H.P. Cook reside in Washington, and Charles M. and William G. Otterback in Brooklyn, N.Y. The death of Louis C. Otterback, last fall, was the first in the family for over forty years.

The Evening Star, February 16, 1904 Will of Rosetta Otterback

The will of Rosetta Otterback, dated August 18, 1903, has been filed for probate. The entire estate, with the exception of wearing apparel, furniture and jewelry, is to be divided among the children of the testatrix. The above mentioned personal effects are to go to Bertie Cook and $5 is bequeathed to Henry B. Otterback, husband of decedent. Philip B. Otterback is named as executor.

Obituary for Henry:

"Funeral services for Henry Burford Otterback, eighty-seven years old, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H.P. Cook, 714 4th street southeast, yesterday at noon, will be held at his late home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. H.S. France, pastor of Trinity M.E. Church, will officiate. The interment will take place at Glenwood cemetery. Mr. Otterback had lived in this city his entire life. He was a butcher a large part of the time and later engaged in the livery business. His daughter, Mrs. H.P. Cook, and six sons, Philip H., Harry A., George E., Maurice, Charles M. and William G. Otterback, survive him."
