Roy D. Lemasters, age 80, of Piscataway, New Jersey, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at his home. He was born March 2, 1925, in Durbin, the son of Samuel and Virgie Lemasters. His parents, a brother and three sisters preceded him in death. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps as a cook. During World War II, he served as a seaman first class in the U.S. Navy. On April 3, 1946, he married Wilma A. Nottingham and they moved to New Brunswick, New Jersey, and from there to Piscataway, where he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Lemasters worked for 40 years for Local 696, Sprink-ler Fitters in Newark, and loved to hunt and fish. Surviving are his wife, Wilma; a son, Charles R. Lemasters, of Annandale, New Jersey; two granddaughters; two sisters, Elma Lemasters, of Farmington, and Mary Jack, of Bluegrass, Virginia. Services were held Monday, March 14, at the Sheenan Funeral Home, Dunellen. Interment was in Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. The Pocahontas Times March 2005
