Jose M. Espitia
Jose M. Espitia, 82 died Friday, Oct. 17, at Yavapai Community Hospital.
He was born Feb. 6, 1887, in Grapuato, Mexico, and came to Prescott 57 years ago. He worked as a boilermaker for the Santa Fe Railroad for 32 years.
Survivours include his wife, Nica, four sons; Frank, Arthur, Walter and Rudy, all of Prescott; ten daughters; Mrs. Lena Casteneda, Mrs. Anita Acosta, Mrs. Josie Gallegos, Mrs. Jennie Durand, Mrs. Jessie Poblano, Mrs. Esther Mendibles, all of Prescott, Mrs. Clara Tafoya, of San Manuel, Mrs. Sallie Pozoz, of Bisbee, Mrs. Irene Sanchez, of Superior, and Mrs. Mercy Lara, of Tolleson; 56 granchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
Five sisters also survive; Maria, Anita, Clara, Angela, and Listenia, all of Mexico.
Rosary will be recited tonight at 7:30 at the Chapel of the Garden.
Mass will be conducted Monday morning at 10 o'clock at Sacred Heart Church, with interment in Mountain View Cemetery.
Chapel of the Garden is in charge of services.
