Donald D. Hartong, age 51, of 3830 Bernard NW, died Monday morning, December 24, 1984, of an apparent heart attack. Born in Uniontown, he was a retired supervisor at Teledyne Monarch Rubber Co. after 31½ years of service. Survived by his mother, Mrs. Helen Skinner of North Canton; his wife of 25½ years, Patricia; two daughters, Mrs. David (Cynthia) Tucker of Suffield, OH, and Miss Joyce Hartong of the home, one sister, Mrs. Ronald (Norma Jean) Humbert of North Canton, one brother, Kenneth Hartong of Suffield, OH; several nieces and nephews. Services were held Friday, December 28, 1984 at 11 a.m. in the Schneeberger & Son Funeral Home, where friends could call Thursday 6-9 p.m. Officiating was Pastor Ray M. Hilliard. Interment was in North Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions could be made to the American Diabetes Association or Heart Disease Research Foundation in his memory.
