Born in Melrose Park to Italian immigrant Domenico Ripani (12/23/1898-5/16/1950) & Mary Maggio (1/3/1902-8/3/1962). Served during WWII as a tank commander for the 742nd Amphibious Tank division. He was in service from October 9th of 1942 to February 7th of 1946 being honorably discharged awarded three medals; Good Conduct, WWII Victory & American Campaign. He married Florence Buzzelli from Chicago on March 9th of 1944 in the state of Louisiana.
