Williamsport - MARGARET ESTHER HUTZELL, 78, died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at her home. Born March 1, 1925, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late James William and Ella Frances Barrow Kirby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Hutzell Sr., in 1980.
She was a homemaker. She was a Protestant. She was a member of AMVETS Post 10 Ladies Auxiliary in Hagerstown.
She is survived by one daughter, Bernadette M. Gettel of Hagerstown; four sisters, Alice Smith and Mary C. Kirby, both of Hagerstown, Edna Hall of Fort Mill, S.C., and Ethel Thomas of Middletown, Pa.; one brother, Guy Kirby of Williamsport; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth E. Hutzell Jr.; three sisters, Delsey Nalley, Georgie Kirby and Ruth Hixon; and six brothers, Clayton Kirby, Ernest Kirby, Jack Kirby, Charles Kirby, James Kirby and Richard Kirby.
Services were held at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport; burial was in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
