John Hellmers, 71, died Wednesday at 1 p.m. at his home in Norfolk. He was born September 6, 1870 at Oldenburg, Germany. He came to the United States in 1878 to Cuming county, Nebraska. He was married in 1903 to Miss Sophie Peters. They had 2 sons. She died in 1924. Four years later he married Mrs. August Hille. He was survived by his wife, 2 sons: Alfred and Gilbert at Norfolk, 1 brother. The funeral was held Saturday with burial at Norfolk.
